Charlotte Research Institute Conference Program

The endowment provided by Duke Energy will result in an opportunity for Charlotte Research Institute faculty to enhance their research productivity by hosting topical conferences on our campus. (PDF)

Duke Energy Distinguished Visiting Scholars Program

The endowment provided by Duke Energy will result in an opportunity for the Charlotte Research Institute faculty to enhance the visibility of their research programs by bringing outstanding experts to our campus for a week or more of consultation and collaboration. (PDF)

Duke Energy Summer Distinguished Visiting Faculty Program

The endowment provided by Duke Energy will result in an opportunity for the Charlotte Research Institute faculty to enhance their research productivity by bringing outstanding faculty to our campus for a summer of collaboration. (PDF)

Federal Laboratory Student Summer Program

The endowment provided by Duke Energy will result in an opportunity for UNC Charlotte faculty members affiliated with the Institute's centers to recommend outstanding undergraduate students for a summer of participation in the research programs of the Federal Laboratories operated by the Department of Energy. In the case of the Argonne National Laboratory, special cost sharing arrangements have been made for UNC Charlotte students. (PDF)

Valued Partnership Seminar Series

An endowment provided by Natalie and Norman Cohen will result in an opportunity for the Charlotte Research Institute faculty to enhance their research productivity by bringing to our campus key representatives of those agencies that fund our research programs. (PDF)

Wells Fargo Faculty Fellowship Program

Untenured junior faculty members affiliated with the Charlotte Research Institute are invited to submit proposals for a Wells Fargo Faculty Fellowship. A Wells Fargo Foundation endowment gift to UNC Charlotte makes these awards possible. Fellowships are competitive research grants and are awarded on the basis of the submitted proposals. Wells Fargo Summer Stipends are intended to assist junior faculty during their first summer at UNC Charlotte. (PDF)

A Wells Fargo Foundation endowment gift to UNC Charlotte makes these awards possible. Fellowships are competitive research grants and are awarded on the basis of the submitted proposals. Wells Fargo Summer Stipends are intended to assist junior faculty during their first summer at UNC Charlotte. Accordingly, stipend proposals may be submitted by newly recruited faculty or by recruiting departments as part of the initial offer of employment. (PDF)
