The Charlotte Research Institute in collaboration with the Ben Craig Center Incubator and the Office of Technology Transfer offers a number of programs designed to help faculty commercialize research into a high growth start-up company.

Opportunity Assessment – We offer general help in beginning to look at how innovative research or technology can be commercialized. This resource is aimed at identifying high potential business opportunities and moving them into a Venture creation process.

Patent Committee Preparation – We offer assistance in preparation for the patent committee specifically with commercialization topics and concepts for the research or technology. This resource is aimed at helping to develop a business assessment for the patent committee.  

Entrepreneurship Learning Community – We offer a variety of programs, workshops and seminars on commercialization and entrepreneurship topics geared toward early stage high growth companies.

Incubation and Acceleration – Through the Ben Craig Center we can provide faculty variety of start-up services as they begin to develop their companies.
